Here’s the story.

I don’t like how we commend one horrible act just because it is a reaction to another act that we have deemed bad. Sure, maybe this kid was too close to the train track and was endangering himself and others. But kicking him in the head is not the correct action to take. It’s not even in the vicinity of the correct action to take. And it could have resulted in a tragic accident if the kid fell into the moving train. There’s another GIF going around of a guy who was in a car accident with another driver who was texting and he gets out of his car, aggressively takes their phone, and smashes it on the ground. And all the comments on this GIF applaud the man. I hate this GIF. The man’s anger is valid. The texting driver endangered the lives of everyone involved. But aggressively destroying that person’s property is also a dangerous act, not to mention criminal. He didn’t know for sure if that person had a gun or not. That act of anger could have resulted in his death. Acts of violence should not be applauded.
